Havening

Are you tormented by a particular memory or uncomfortable feelings like anxiety, fear, anger and sadness? Do you find yourself behaving in an unhelpful way in certain situations or maybe you have a phobia that impacts on how you live your life? If you do, then check out Havening.
The Havening Techniques is a ground breaking therapy developed by Dr Ronald Ruden MD PhD. Havening is based on research from the field of neuroscience which has informed our understanding of how touch can facilitate release from negative emotional and or physiological consequences of psychological trauma.

We understand that the application of Havening Touch®, which can be self applied or applied by a Practitioner, during specific processes, creates the necessary conditions in the brain to depotentiate (permanently remove) the receptors (apparatus) that would normally continue to trigger the distressing emotional and physical response from a trauma based memory.
The Havening Techniques are proving to be very effective at permanently alleviating symptoms for many issues including psychological trauma from specific events, phobias, anxiety, grief, panic attacks, PTSD, stress, pathological emotions such as guilt, jealousy and shame and much more.
If as the client you don't feel comfortable disclosing the content of an event the therapist does not need to know. As well as proving very effective for emotional disturbances and psychological trauma, it has also proved to be effective for stress management, peak performance and as a self-help tool.
This amazing psychosensory therapy is gentle and suitable for most clients, it is important however to seek help from a professional certified practitioner in the Havening Techniques if you have experienced psychological trauma.
When an event or experience is perceived as traumatic or very stressful it becomes immutably encoded, often with life-altering consequences. However, recent research from the field of neuroscience has shown us how it's possible to modify this encoding.
